Some 400 million people with disabilities live in the Asia-Pacific region. The majority of them are often excluded from many social and working opportunities due to the lack of awareness, knowledge and accessibility to new tools and technologies.
At JobStreet.com we hold ourselves as a socially responsible and progressive organisation that respects the rights of all jobseekers and the working community. Our motto is "Improving People's Lives through a Better Career".
Along with the Penang Knowledge Information Communication and Technology (KICT) Council and the Socio-economic & Environmental Research Institute (SERI), JobStreet.com has set up this website http://jobs4disabled.jobstreet.com to create equal and additional opportunities for persons with disabilities.
This website provides a platform for both prospective employers and employees to meet and explore work opportunities. We believe that in time this will enable persons with disabilities to be integrated into the productive job force.
About KICT
The KICT Council was set up by the Penang State Government to establish the state as a premier centre for k-economy in Malaysia. Central to this strategic plan is the Penang i-land vision, which aims to turn the state into a world-class competitive k-economy and a pervasive k-society through knowledge enrichment and ICT excellence within the context of Vision 2020.
