Beautiful Gate Recycling Project
The Beautiful Gate Career Development Centre (BGCDC) has set up a Recycling & Shelter Workshop at 1 Jalan SS2/23, Petaling Jaya since 2004 to provide working opportunities to the disabled who cannot work in the open market and at the same time, generate income for the Centre which needs about RM18K per month.
The Centre is appealing to companies for donations of old newspapers, used paper, old books, old diskettes, old CDs, etc. A lorry can be arranged to pick up from your company if there is a big amount.
Alternatively, the lorry can collect the recyclable items (old newspapers, old clothes, plastic bottles, cans, books etc.) from your company on a regular basis. If you can hold a recycling day once a month and encourage your staff to bring their recyclable items from home, the lorry will be at your company early the morning and you will just need to throw all the items into it.
If you are a student, you can also help to organise some recycling activities in your college/university. You can also drop by the Centre and throw your items into the recycle bins.
Your waste is their hope. Do give them a hand to build their members' self-confidence. Please reply by fax to 603.78762686 or email to bgcentre@yahoo.com and they will respond to you as soon as possible.
